How would a bodyless guitar sound compared to a guitar with an actual body?

Since they lack an actual physical body, how do they sound compared to a normal run-of-the-mill guitar? Reduced tone? Different tone? What difference would the lack of a body make in terms of the sound of the instrument?
The body makes a huge difference in the sound. It would generally reduce the sustain, and you would also not get the same “full” sound.
