Just starting songwriting- How to write notes into blank sheet music from Midi capable keyboard?

Because it’s Christmas, my money is going elsewhere. I have a midi-capable keyboard, as well as a regular bass. What software and cables do I need to be able to transmit the data ot the computer?
My record function on the keyboard is full, adn anyway, I’d liek to be able to print the songs for future reference.

You need a usb-to-midi cable or interface to connect your keyboard with the computer. Also you need a midi sequencer software to record your songs. Note that midi only transmits events (notes you press, program changes and so on).

There are software such as Finale to print a score from a midi file.
