Does anybody know how/where to price a Banjo Paterson out of print book?
I have a 1997 print called A Vision Splendid the complete poetry of A. B. “Banjo” Paterson by Harpercollins and I would like to know what it is worth. It is in excellent condition a few marks on the spine but the inside is immaculate. Please help!
The only accurate way to price books no longer in print is to find identical copies, both the edition and condition, being sold at sites like ebay and AbeBooks. Pay no attention to the asking price, only to the bids or selling price, which indicate the book’s actual value.
My best guess is that this book has only nominal value at best, but I’m no expert.
Edit: My best guess stunk! I found used copies from private sellers at Amazon from the mid-forty-dollar range to the low eighties, and one at ALibris for $27.50.
